Team GB's Game Schedule for 2012 World Championships
Team Great Britains opening game will be against last years world champions the Czech Republic on Friday the 1st of June at 6pm, the teams second game is against Sweden the next day at 2pm, team GB's last preliminary round game is again at 2pm on the 3rd against Finland.

GB team sponsorship with SThree continues
Recruitment company SThree have again agreed to sponsor the Great Britain team for the coming year, their continuing sponsorship is great news for the team as it means again that the players can concentrate on the job at hand and not have to think about any financial commitments. SThree's sponsorship and the teams usage of Sthree's core values was a factor in the team's success last year.

GB Team Announced
The final squad that will represent Great Britain in the upcoming IIHF world championships has been selected.
This year's team includes 10 of last years gold medal squad and two others that have previously played on the team plus two players who get their GB debuts (Simon Hughes and Rob Shelton)
The full squad is:
Netminders - Alex Birch , James Tanner
Defence- Richard Walsh, Kris Hendy, Mark Hallam
Forwards - Nathan Finney, Phil Hamer, Rob Shelton
Karl Niamatali, Alex Pearman, Simon Hughes
Tom Avery, Kurt Waller, Matt Viney

2012 Championship Dates
Next years championships will be back in Ingolstad in Germany again, there is no denying the Germany always run a great championships and next year we will see what it is like to compete as an A Pool team. The dates are the earlist they have been starting on the 1st of June till the 7th
Training starts again for next years championships in October.

IIHF creates Inline Task Force
At the world championships IIHF's Rob Van Rijswijk set up a task force to look into all matters IIHF inline. Great Britain team manager Rene Ross along with USA Hockey's Dan Brennan, Czech Republic's Thomas Kazlepka and Belen Urbaneja of Argentina will make up the team,they will be asked to look at a variety of different issues to do with the sport, to make sure the governing body gets a balanced view, with new ideas coming from around the globe. 
2011 WC Honours two GB Players
Great Britain players James Tanner (Netminder) and John Dolan (Forward) were voted the best division 1 players for their postions by the IIHF directorate, this is a great honour but not a suprise James Tanners save percentage was 91.30% with a goals against average of 2 per game. John Dolan's award is no surprise either he entered this championship with a GB record of 114 points and during the championship he added another 18 points scoring 11 goals and 7 assists.
James Tanner was also awarded his team most valubale player of the championships.
