Final Squad Selection for 2014
The final trail for Team GB has taken place, and coach Simon Hehir has made his final selection, this comes after a final trail which demonstrated the depth of talent there is residing in the UK, it was great to see so many players turn up to the final trail and it was good to see not one of them out of place, every player that attended the trial would have in years gone by made the final selection, however a team has to be selected and here it is
With Andrew Silitoe making the squad he will be stepping down as head coach and Simon Hehir will be taking up that role
Many thanks to all the players that attended the trails it was great to see the depth of talent of elite inline hockey in this country.
Assistant Coach Appointment
Team GB are pleased to announce the appointment of Simon Hehir as the assistant coach for Team GB, Simon played on and captained the team for seven years between 2003 and 2009 and is still the 2nd highest point scorer of all time for Team GB and the highest point scorer ever for a defence man.
His experience in both Inline and ice hockey will be invaluable in guiding the team to a successful championship.
Many thanks go out from Team GB to Puckstop.com who have joined the Team GB family of sponsors in suppling practise jerseys and team attire for this years campaign without generous sponsors like Puckstop.com it becomes very costly for any player to represent his country.
